 Popa Heating & Cooling is owned and operated by Nick and Pat Popa. The company has been serving the heating and air conditioning needs of the Highland, Indiana and the surrounding area since 1968. With new construction being the initial focus the company has grown to provide service for all makes and models of HVAC equipment. Replacement equipment for existing homes is another area where the business has flourished.   Shown above, Nick when in the 50s with Carl Pettit Builders (fourth man standing from left). Nick Popa ran the sheet metal shop for Carl Pettit Builders—who built many of the homes of Highland during the 1950s and 1960s. In 1968 he started his own business, Popa Sheet Metal. Nick is the consultant for the company and oversees the quality of workmanship and operations. Pat joined the company in 1986 and is responsible for sales and marketing. Pat is also involved with community organizations and is instrumental in organizing projects in Downtown Highland to help increase traffic for the retail business district and improve the quality of life for its residents.  |
